Getting married during a pandemic wasn’t our first choice. In the end, we scrapped our 200-person wedding which was over a year in the making, rented out an Airbnb with our families, and said “I do” on acres of beautiful vineyard.
It was nothing like we had planned for or expected. There were no dance parties, I think I drank a half a glass of champagne total, and we didn’t have our loved ones, friends, and family there with us. Our USB microphone that was streaming audio to all our Zoom guests died right before our vows. It was about 100 degrees outside.
But it was nothing short of wonderful.
It was intimate. It was special. It was joyful. I was nervous and excited right before I walked down the aisle. None of those feelings were any different than I had imagined they would be.
I’ll be sharing more in the future, about planning a wedding, what our COVID wedding was like, and of course, I want to say so much about all our amazing vendors. But today I’m sharing our wedding video, filmed and edited by Viewfinder Collective, a sweet and talented newly-married couple who graduated from the same university as us.
Leilani and Keanu make breathtaking work. And I think the proof is here. Please enjoy a glimpse into everything our day was and more:
